PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government has provided Rp 4 billion in aid to earthquake victims in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The aid was delivered directly by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, who arrived in NTT on Friday (August 21, 2026).

The cash assistance was provided to communities to repair homes damaged by the earthquake. For heavily damaged homes, homeowners received Rp 20 million, for moderately damaged homes, Rp 10 million, and for lightly damaged homes, Rp 5 million.

"Residents can rest assured that damaged houses can be repaired immediately. Hopefully, NTT will recover and rise again soon," said KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, on Saturday (August 22, 2026).

KDM also monitored the damage caused by the earthquake in several locations. Several houses experienced cracks in the walls. Meanwhile, others suffered more severe damage, with walls collapsing.

In addition to repairing houses, KDM also provided assistance to meet the daily needs of earthquake victims, including food.

The people of NTT were touched by the assistance they received and expressed their gratitude to KDM and the West Java Provincial Government.

"Thank you, Mr. KDM, for helping Flores," said one resident, Nina.

Not only the West Java Provincial Government, but also civil servants and the Depok City community have provided assistance to the NTT earthquake victims. The aid totaled Rp 500 million.
