PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi congratulated Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University (UIN) Bandung on its 58th anniversary.

In the "Open Senate Session in the Context of the 58th Anniversary", KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, stated that he was ready to help universities, such as the construction of a building for the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.

However, he asked universities to also contribute to West Java.

"I built it for billions, but later West Java students, children of poor people in West Java, will study medicine here for free," he added at the Anwar Musaddad Hall, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Wednesday (8/4/2026).

According to KDM, the West Java Provincial Government's revenue must be spent appropriately to improve the Human Development Index (HDI) so that the community prospers.

The Chancellor of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Rosihon Anwar, said that his party is currently preparing to establish a Faculty of Medicine (FK) located on Campus 2, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, Bandung City.

"We will continue to develop, one of which is opening a Faculty of Medicine. There is still vacant land on UIN Campus 2," he said.
