PORTALJABAR, KARAWANG REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi reiterated that he will organize several cities and regencies, particularly those along the route of the Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade. One of the areas to be renovated is Jalan Tuparev in Karawang Regency.

This was conveyed by KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, during the Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade in Karawang Regency on Saturday evening (May 9, 2026). The Karawang Cultural Parade "Subang Larang Nebar Kaheman" (Protesting for the Protest) began from Jl. Ir. H. Juanda to Karawang Square.

According to KDM, the Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade is not just an arts and culture performance and a remembrance of the past of the Pajajaran Kingdom, but there will be further efforts to advance arts and culture as well as development in West Java, especially in Karawang Regency.

"Together with the Regent, we will improve infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and parks, along the parade route. Along the route, there will be slates bearing messages of love. The town square will become the Old Town area of Karawang," KDM added.

This plan will be realized through the 2026 Revised Regional Budget or the 2027 Regional Budget.

KDM hopes that this arrangement will transform Karawang into a tourist destination with a rich history of love, from the past to the present, making it more comfortable, cleaner, and embracing Sundanese cultural identity.

Meanwhile, at the same location, Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh expressed his gratitude to Governor Dedi Mulyadi for bringing the Binokasih Crown in the series of Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade to Karawang.

According to him, the Binokasih Crown reminds us of the importance of a relationship based on affection between leaders and the people.

"Development in the region should not only rely on physical and economic progress, but should also be built on the values of compassion, togetherness, and unity," he said.

The Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade in Karawang Regency presents the Binokasih Sanghyang Pake Crown, which was previously kept in the Sumedang Larang Kingdom.

Thousands of people lined the routes along which the procession of various traditional arts from 27 cities and regencies in West Java passed. Spectators also enjoyed performances by participants from Central Java, Jakarta, and Banten.
