PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi, asked all levels of provincial government down to the villages to prevent violations that have the potential to trigger social conflict.
In his statement, KDM - Dedi Mulyadi's nickname - emphasized the importance of fair and balanced law enforcement, as well as the obligation of every individual to exercise their rights and responsibilities.
KDM explained that tolerating illegal activities, such as illegal construction on riverbanks and sidewalks, had caused prolonged social conflict.
"All levels of government must be proactive and not allow violations that could cause tension in society," he said.
In addition, KDM also appreciated the role of the police who have worked hard in enforcing the law and maintaining public order. He requested that all acts of violence, both against officers and citizens, be processed legally without discrimination.
"Everyone must obey the law. We will ensure that rights and obligations are carried out in a balanced manner, so that there is no more room for conflict that is detrimental to society," he added.
He also invited the public to actively participate in maintaining order and supporting government programs aimed at common welfare.
