KDM Inspects Cikarang Market, Bekasi Regency Government Commits to Phased Restructuring

PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, accompanied the Governor of West Java, Kang Dedi Mulyadi (KDM), to inspect traders in the Ramayana Market area, Jl RE Martadinata, North Cikarang, on Thursday (11/6/2026).

On that occasion, the Governor of West Java spoke with market vendors about the arrangement of stalls to ensure a more orderly and equitable distribution, both inside and outside the market building. This arrangement is expected to create a healthier and more equitable economic cycle for all vendors.

This visit is also part of the government's efforts to ensure that trade areas can function optimally, while providing comfort for the public and smooth traffic for road users.

For this reason, the West Java Provincial Government together with the Bekasi Regency Government are committed to gradually organizing the market area with a humanistic approach, so that the needs of traders are still accommodated without neglecting the interests of the wider community.

Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, stated that the development of this traditional market is part of the regional government's efforts to improve the quality of public services and support the growth of the people's economy.

Asep further explained that as a long-term solution, the Bekasi Regency Government has prepared a number of steps and ensured that in 2027 the area will be developed and developed into a more representative traditional market.

This program is expected to provide a suitable place of business for traders while creating an orderly, safe, clean and comfortable market environment.

"We want to create a well-organized market, so that vendors can operate their businesses comfortably and the public can shop safely without disrupting the road. God willing, by 2027, this area will be transformed into a more representative, comfortable, and proud traditional market for Bekasi Regency," he said.
