PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has prepared a number of programs to realize the 2026 Regional Original Revenue (PAD) target of IDR 19.519 trillion.

Head of the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), Asep Supriatna, through the Secretary of the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), M. Deni Zakaria, stated that he was optimistic about being able to achieve the PAD target that had been set this year.

"We must be optimistic about achieving our target. In addition to boosting vehicle tax revenue, we are also confident that other revenue, including transfers from the central government, will come in this year," he explained on Monday (February 2, 2026).

Deni stated that Motor Vehicle Tax is the largest source of revenue for the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) each year. Subsequently, significant revenue comes from Motor Vehicle Title Transfer Fees (BBNKB) and Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax.

In 2026, Motor Vehicle Tax is targeted to reach IDR 6.2 trillion and BBNKB IDR 3.3 trillion.

The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) is committed to achieving these targets. Since early 2026, efforts have been underway to raise public awareness of vehicle tax compliance, including conducting special joint operations to pursue delinquent motor vehicle tax payers in West Java.

The operation is necessary because there are still around 5 million vehicle owners in West Java who have not paid their obligations, even though they were given an incentive/payment relief program through the 2025 tax penalty amnesty program.

Deni stated that the joint operation will be carried out on a massive scale across all regencies/cities in West Java, routinely every month, even weekly in certain areas. Previously, this activity was carried out every three months.

Vehicle tracking activities at homes or large companies/factories will also be carried out by Bapenda in collaboration with third parties.

"We will investigate because it's possible the property has changed hands, even provinces. However, the new location hasn't been registered," Deni explained.

Bapenda also maximized its employees, numbering more than 800 people, to conduct searches through the Panah Pasopati application.

Addition of Assistant Samsat

In addition to holding special operations, the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) also added four Samsat branch offices, two of which are located in Bogor Regency, which can handle five-yearly taxes.

"We're adding payment channels to make paying taxes easier. We're also adding banks that partner with Bapenda so you can pay anywhere, including at minimarkets," said Deni.

Deni emphasized that the vehicle tax fine amnesty program will not be continued, so the public must now comply with their tax obligations. Those who comply, he continued, will receive attractive raffle prizes at the end of the year.
