PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - In an effort to achieve the Three Zero target in 2030, it requires synergy and collaboration from all elements of society with the government. Because, if only relying on the government, the target will be difficult to achieve.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin at the Silaturahmi event "Strengthen Yourself Together, Spread Love to End AIDS", at Bandung City Hall, Thursday (24/4/2025).

It should be noted that Three Zero refers to the target set by the Indonesian government to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic by 2030. This target includes three main things, namely; zero new infections, zero AIDS-related deaths, and zero stigma and discrimination against People with HIV/AIDS (ODHA).

Erwin appealed to Regional Apparatus (PD), health services, regions and community organizations to expand health coverage for the community.

"I appeal to regional apparatus to align HIV/AIDS prevention programs according to their main tasks and functions," he said.

He also encouraged health services, namely hospitals and community health centers to continue to improve optimal services for Odhiv (people with HIV), and to actively conduct HIV tests in the community.

"I also urge sub-district elements and the AIDS-Caring Citizens Forum (WPA) to be more active and more proactive in empowering, socializing, and early detection of HIV in the community," he said.

Erwin hopes that AIDS-focused community organizations and peer support groups will continue to expand their reach of services to at-risk populations and strengthen support for PLHIV.

"With the active role of all of us through collaboration in combating AIDS in Bandung City. I am optimistic that the Three Zero target in 2030 can be achieved," he said.
