PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Balanced nutrition is a daily intake whose types and quantities of nutrients are in accordance with the body's needs.

Fulfillment of nutritional intake must pay attention to the principles of food diversity, physical activity, clean living behavior, and maintaining normal body weight to prevent nutritional problems.

Reported from the Instagram account @dppkb.bandung, balanced nutrition consists of four pillars.

Basically, it is an effort to balance the nutrients that come out and the nutrients that come in by controlling body weight regularly.

The four pillars of balanced nutrition are:

1. Consume a variety of foods
In one source of nutrients we must consume various types of food. Such as sources of carbohydrates can be fulfilled from rice, tubers and flour.

Sources of protein can be full of fish, chicken, beef, eggs, tofu, tempeh and nuts around 2-4 servings a day.

Sources of vitamins can be full of vegetables and fruits of various colors.

2. Active lifestyle and exercise
An active lifestyle is done with physical activity, including sports. Physical activity is the body's effort to balance the intake and output of nutrients, especially the main source of energy in the body.

3. Implement a clean and healthy lifestyle
By implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS), it can prevent infection. Even 45 percent of diarrhea can be prevented by washing hands.

4. Maintain ideal body weight
One indicator that shows that there has been a nutritional balance in the body is having a normal weight in the Body Mass Index (BMI). Weight monitoring can be done by measuring weight per height squared in meters with a guide as shown in the picture. (Diskominfo Kota Bandung/Fauziah)
