PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) together with the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) and the support of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) held the Capital Market Summit & Expo (CMSE) 2024 event on Thursday, November 7—Saturday, November 9, 2024.

CMSE 2024 carries the theme #AkuInvestorSaham which is a campaign with a message of pride, inclusivity, and progress. This has become the umbrella for all efforts and various educational activity programs, both online and offline, as well as the use of social media that can expand the reach of education to increase public participation in the capital market.

BEI President Director Iman Rachman said that in accordance with the #AkuInvestorSaham theme which reflects pride, openness, and progress for all groups, the CMSE 2024 event emphasizes that every individual has the opportunity to achieve financial independence in the future while strengthening our nation's economy.

"There are three new things at CMSE 2024: #AkuInvestorSaham, namely the implementation of a series of CMSE 2024 pre-event activities called Road to CMSE 2024, seminar or talk show sessions, and an expo that also presents various Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) booths," said Iman, Thursday (7/11/2024).

According to Imana, the series of Road to CMSE 2024 activities have been carried out since August 2024, consisting of 119 series of literacy activities in various regions of Indonesia and attended by hundreds of thousands of participants with various backgrounds or professions.

"These literacy activities include the Capital Market School for the Nation, Fun Competitions such as stock investment competitions to e-sports, as well as seminars held in various agencies, city/district governments, and higher education institutions throughout Indonesia," he said.

Various seminars and talk shows at CMSE 2024: #AkuInvestorSaham will raise current and relevant topics or themes, such as the Main Seminar which will discuss the direction of investment opportunities in the new cabinet era.

Meanwhile, BEI Development Director Jeffrey Hendrik added that at CMSE 2024: #AkuInvestorSaham, several other seminars will also be held, namely CEO Talk, Go Public Talk Show, Islamic Capital Market Podcast, New Capital Market Products, and Inspiration Talk.

"We hope that these seminars can provide very useful knowledge for investors and potential investors when investing in the Indonesian capital market," said Jeffrey.

Another different thing at CMSE 2024 is the presence of an MSME booth which is fostered by IDX Incubator in collaboration with PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (Persero) and the Ministry of MSMEs.

Jeffrey hopes that the implementation of CMSE 2024: #AkuInvestorSaham can introduce the inclusivity of the Indonesian capital market, as well as provide an opportunity for regulators and capital market players to participate and interact directly with the public.

"With support from various parties, BEI hopes that this event can inspire more people to achieve financial independence through investment in the Indonesian capital market, thereby increasing the number of individual investors, which currently number more than 14 million single investor identification (SID)," he concluded.
