PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Milangkala Tatar Sunda Cultural Parade in Bandung, held on Saturday (May 16, 2026), will cover a 3.5-kilometer route. The parade will start at Kiara Artha Park, then proceed to Jalan Jakarta, Jalan Supratman, and end at Jalan Diponegoro (Gedung Sate).

The Head of the West Java Transportation Agency (Dishub), Dhani Gumelar, stated that the roads used by the procession will be closed starting at 6:00 p.m. The procession will then run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

To prevent traffic congestion, the West Java Transportation Agency has deployed 600 joint officers from the police, the West Java Transportation Agency, and the Bandung City Transportation Agency. Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) officers will also be deployed to maintain order during the parade.

People who bring vehicles to the parade location do not need to be confused about finding parking spaces because they are provided in several locations.

"Parking pockets will be spread across several locations, the main ones being around Gedung Sate, the Inspectorate Office, the West Java DPRD, the Pusdai Mosque, Bank Mandiri, and the Struggle Monument," said Dhani, Thursday (May 14, 2026).

During the procession, the public is advised to maintain the safety of themselves and their belongings.

West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman said that thousands of people would be present during the parade, so their belongings, such as cell phones, would be kept safe so they wouldn't get lost.

Herman also urged the public to prepare their stamina for watching the parade. Therefore, visitors should eat and get plenty of rest beforehand.

He also urged the public not to bring infants to the procession. Meanwhile, breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to watch the procession on YouTube, not in person.

"We expect order from the community," said Herman.

The West Java Provincial Government will deploy ambulances and medical personnel at the parade site. Furthermore, several preparations have been made, such as clearing trash and removing any inappropriate banners and billboards along the parade route.

Street vendors were also arranged and the sidewalks on the parade route were painted to make them beautiful.
