PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government, along with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, is committed to strengthening the updating of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) to ensure targeted social assistance distribution and encourage community economic independence.

This commitment was emphasized in the President's Priority Program Collaboration event in order to build human resources towards economic independence as well as the socialization of DTSEN by the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs to all sub-district heads, village heads and village heads, SIKS-NG operators, social pillars and village assistants throughout Bekasi Regency at the Swatantra Wibawa Mukti Building, Cikarang Pusat Regency Complex, Wednesday (4/3/2026).

Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, emphasized the region's readiness to support data updates by strengthening the role of village operators and providing infrastructure.

"For SIKS-NG, it's not a salary, but rather a monthly allowance of Rp 500,000, paid quarterly. Going forward, in the third quarter, we'll add support to the program of one laptop per village," he said.

He explained that Bekasi Regency's challenge lies in the population differences between villages. Villages with large populations require more operator support than those with smaller populations. Therefore, the addition of operators will be technically adjusted based on the needs of each village.

"With this measurable support, we hope village operators can work more professionally so that the data they produce is truly accurate," he added.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, stated that the DTSEN update is part of the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2025, which mandates that the central and regional governments coordinate to help update data managed by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

"Good data will guide our programs to ensure they're well-targeted. We'll not only distribute aid but also gradually improve human resources, particularly in the economic sector," said Saifullah Yusuf.

He emphasized that increasingly accurate and real-time data not only ensures that aid is targeted, but also serves as an instrument for community empowerment.

All proposals from villages will go through formal channels to the Social Services before being processed further, with the final determination being made by BPS, thus producing a single, uniform data set.

On that occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also reminded Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators to work professionally and refrain from committing any irregularities. He stated that the government has imposed strict sanctions on individuals found to have violated the law.

Through synergy between the Bekasi Regency Government and the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, strengthening the National Disaster Mitigation Center (DTSEN) is expected to become the foundation for more precise, transparent social policies that will have a real impact on improving the welfare of the Bekasi Regency community.
