PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) and the West Java Province Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Service (DP3AKB) held the Official Development Assistance (ODA) Project Brief MoGEF: Dissemination of the 2020-2024 Project Result, at the Indonesian Computer University Hall, Bandung City, Tuesday (11/26/2024).

The event also closed the 2020-2024 ODA PROJECT collaboration between the Ministry of PPPA and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MoGEF) of South Korea in the field of women's empowerment in West Java.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of PPPA Veronica Tan, Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, Director of International Cooperation MoGEF Jeong-Aa Lee, Principal Manager of DoRun DoRun Suna Won, and Head of DP3AKB of West Java Province, dr. Siska Gerfianti.

Veronica encourages the continuation of the program that has been running for 5 years. According to her, this program can fill the skills gap needed by women, especially female heads of households.

In line with the Deputy Minister of PPPA, in his speech, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, hoped that the trained women could implement the knowledge they had gained and become new entrepreneurs in West Java.

Within 5 years of cooperation between the Ministry of PPPA and the South Korean MoGEF, West Java Province through the West Java Province DP3AKB has trained 2,861 women in vocational training including cooking, beauty, sewing, IT, eCommerce, and agriculture classes.

Head of DP3AKB of West Java Province, dr. Siska Gerfianti in the report on the achievements of the implementation of the ODA Project, explained several achievements including the creation of modules and curriculum, the creation of training content videos, the development of Android applications, and the renewal of classrooms and learning facilities.

In the future, there will be a continuation of this program, namely the West Java Women Empowerment (WJWE) Caang which collaborates with the Bureau of Procurement of Goods and Services, the Bureau of Government and Regional Autonomy, the Bureau of BUMD Investment and Development Administration of the West Java Provincial Secretariat, the program is also implemented in 27 Regencies/Cities in West Java.

The West Java Women's School Training is one of the West Java government's efforts to improve women's economy while also boosting the Gender Empowerment Index (IDG) in West Java.
