PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Regional Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development of the Garut Regency Regional Secretariat, Dedy Mulyadi, opened GARUT NEXT GEN 2026 at Garut Plaza as a collaboration between the Garut Regency Government, the Population and Civil Registration Service, and the Indonesian Market Traders Association to provide public services, education, and business opportunities for the younger generation (24/6/2026).
This activity provides a space for the public to access population administration services while also obtaining educational and entrepreneurial information in one location.
Dedy Mulyadi appreciated the cross-sector collaboration that brought tangible benefits to the community through closer and more accessible public services.
"This is extraordinary. It means the government and traders are paying attention here by opening up space for education, by providing opportunities in the form of public services initiated by the Garut Population and Civil Registration Office," he said.
Dedy said the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Population and Civil Registration Service of Garut Regency and the All-Indonesian Market Traders Association of Garut Regency was a concrete step towards strengthening services to the public.
Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service of Garut Regency, Rena Sudrajat, explained that population administration services at Garut Plaza will be carried out routinely every second week on Thursday and Friday.
"One of them is that this collaborative activity is the first activity of cooperation between the Garut Regency Population and Civil Registration Office and Garut Plaza, which will carry out services routinely every month in the second week, on Thursdays and Fridays," he explained.
Through this mobile service, the public can process population administration documents without having to come to the Population and Civil Registration Office.
The two-day event also featured a Campus Expo, talk shows from six universities, a quiz competition, a music festival, and fun games to encourage interest in education and develop the potential of the younger generation.
