PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is strengthening public services and law-abiding governance through cooperation in handling civil and state administrative legal issues with the Bandung District Attorney's Office and 11 regional apparatus organizations.

This collaboration is a follow-up to the previously signed memorandum of understanding to support the implementation of development programs so that they run according to legal corridors.

Bandung District Attorney Abun Hasbulloh Syambas stated that cross-sectoral synergy is needed to ensure that the government runs professionally, effectively, and accountably.

"Cross-sectoral collaboration is a much-needed effort to build shared progress," said Abun (May 21, 2026).

A total of 11 regional apparatus organizations signed the cooperation agreement, including the Regional Finance and Assets Agency, Regional Revenue Agency, Food Security and Agriculture Agency, Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency, Transportation Agency, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency, Water Resources and Highways Agency, Education Agency, Health Agency, and Bandung City Social Services Agency.

Abun explained that the scope of cooperation includes legal assistance in and out of court, legal assistance, legal audits, legal considerations, and mediation of civil and state administrative matters.

"With this legal support, we are optimistic that this collaboration can support the implementation of tasks and functions optimally, effectively, and efficiently," he said.

He also reminded all regional officials to be wary of parties who use the prosecutor's office as their personal interests.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan assessed that this collaboration is an important step towards creating a professional and integrated government in serving the public.

"The Prosecutor's Office is a partner in helping us understand which fences must be guarded and which must not be crossed," said Farhan.

Farhan deliberately invited all heads of regional apparatus organizations to the agenda as a form of the Bandung City Government's seriousness in strengthening governance based on legal certainty.

According to Farhan, legal assistance from the prosecutor's office has made regional officials more confident in implementing development programs up to the 2027 planning stage.

"This agreement will make all agencies more confident in implementing Bandung City's development programs," he said.

Farhan also hopes that the legal assistance program can be expanded to regionally-owned enterprises to optimize public services and avoid deviant practices.

"Perhaps my proposal for cooperation between the District Attorney's Office and regionally-owned enterprises (BUMDs) should be further strengthened as a form of good mentoring cooperation," he said.
