PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The ongoing conflict in the Middle East between Iran, the US and Israel has affected the prices of raw materials and electronic components, resulting in an increase in the selling price of electronic products.

President Director of Log In Megastore Handy Sundjaja said that the prices of a number of electronic goods are currently starting to rise, such as laptops, televisions and a number of other goods whose raw materials contain plastic and chips.

"The prices of laptops and televisions in West Java have started to rise, as a result of the conflict in the Middle East," Handy said on Sunday (April 19, 2026).

According to Handy, if the conflict in the Middle East continues, it is possible that the selling price of all electronic goods, not just laptops and televisions, will also increase.

"We haven't raised the selling prices of electronics yet because we still have stock. However, if the war drags on, it's not unlikely that the prices of all electronics will also increase," he said.

Handy predicts that, despite the increase in selling prices, sales of electronic goods, especially televisions, will increase this year, following the prestigious five-yearly sporting event, namely the 2026 World Cup.

"With the 2026 World Cup, we predict that television sales will increase, especially those measuring between 43 and 50 inches," he said.

Handy stated that while electronic selling prices are creeping up, to maintain sales figures, it is necessary to maximize service to maintain customer satisfaction so that prices remain competitive.

"If electronics prices rise, we must maximize our services to meet consumer needs. This includes implementing business changes and further improving services, such as launching a mobile app," he concluded. (Parno/rka)
