
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released developments in inflation, domestic tourist visits (wisnus), and hotel room occupancy rates (TPK).
According to the Official Statistics News (BRS), inflation in Bandung City in October 2025 was recorded at 0.46 percent month-to-month (m-to-m).
This figure is slightly higher than inflation in West Java (0.45 percent) and nationally (0.28 percent).
The data shows that the commodities that had the greatest impact on inflation in October included gold jewelry, oranges, chicken eggs, red chilies, and chicken meat.
Meanwhile, year-on-year (yoy) inflation in Bandung City was 2.53 percent, lower than West Java's 2.63 percent and the national average (2.86 percent). Year-to-date (ytd) inflation from January to October 2025 reached 1.92 percent, also lower than West Java's 2.03 percent and the national average (2.10 percent).
With this achievement, Bandung City occupies the third lowest position in West Java for both ytd and yoy inflation.
In addition to stable prices, the tourism sector is also showing a positive trend. According to Mobile Positioning Data (MPD), in September 2025, there were 1.896 million domestic tourist visits to Bandung, a 7.60 percent increase compared to September 2024.
Cumulatively, the period from January to September 2025 recorded 17.76 million domestic tourist trips, a 24.77 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This figure is the highest in the past five years.
Bandung City is also the second-largest destination in West Java for domestic tourists, with a share of visits reaching 11.20 percent in January-September 2025, after Bogor Regency (14.76 percent).
Meanwhile, the Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in Bandung City in September 2025 was recorded at 50.90 percent.
Although it fell 1.53 points on a monthly basis and 7.81 points compared to the previous year, this figure is still higher than the average TPK for West Java (36.33 percent) and the national average (38.20 percent).
