PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung City successfully became the overall champion in the 2026 West Java Middle School Islamic Religious Education Competition. Bandung City successfully won 5 championships.

At the event held at the Indonesian Education University Campus, September 25-26, the City of Bandung won 5 championship titles, namely:

1. Hendar Wulan/SMPN 20 Bandung/1st Place Digital Poster
2. Muhammad Nadzrey El Hukama/QLP Rabbani Junior High School Bandung/1st Place in MHQ Boys
3. ⁠Sabil Nurahlisti/Tunas Unggul Middle School/1st Place in Female Lecture
4. Ernesta Belva Alodia/SMP Negeri 2 Bandung/1st Place in Women's Calligraphy
5. 1st Place in the Defile

Apart from that, a number of students from Bandung City also achieved other proud achievements.
Among them

1. Saskia Anatasya Aulia Putri/SMP Negeri 41 Bandung/1st runner-up for MHQ Putri
2. Citranti Fitri Herliana/SMP Negeri 3 Bandung/ 1st runner-up in the female MTQ
3. Arya Lazwar Yudhistira/SMPN 2 Bandung/ 2nd Place in Men's Lecture Competition
4. Anindya Putri Vania/SMPN 14 Bandung/ 3rd Place in the Olympiad
5. Rakha Muhammad Faeyza/SMPN 34 Bandung/ 2nd Runner-Up for Boys' Calligraphy

With this achievement, Bandung City became the overall champion of the 2026 West Java Middle School PAI Competition.

Previously, Bandung City Regional Secretary Iskandar Zulkarnain stated that the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) performance is not merely a competition to find a champion. It is more than that, a platform to foster a love of religion, develop talents and creativity, and shape students' character.

"The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) performance is not just a competition to find a champion. More than that, this event is a time to foster a love of religion, develop talents and creativity, while also shaping character and fostering a young generation that is faithful, virtuous, self-confident, and capable of achieving," said Zulkarnain at the opening of the 2026 West Java Provincial Junior High School PAI Performance at the Gymnasium of the Indonesian Education University (UI) on Friday (September 25, 2026).
