West Java KPU Urges Elected Legislative Candidates Who Have Not Submitted LHKPN to Immediately Report to KPK

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - As many as 8 of the 120 elected legislative candidates (legislative candidates) for the West Java Province DPRD have not submitted the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Previously, on May 28 2024, the West Java Provincial KPU issued a Decree regarding the Determination of 120 Elected Candidates for Members of the West Java Provincial DPRD. Of that number, 24 of them were female elected legislative candidates or 20 percent.

Head of the West Java KPU's Socialization, Voter Education and Community Participation Division, Hedi Ardian, reminded that the West Java Provincial DPRD legislative candidates were selected to immediately submit the LHKPN to the KPK.

"KPK data from a total of 120 elected West Java Provincial DPRD candidates, 112 of whom have submitted their LHKPN reports. Of this number, 95 people have been declared complete," said Hedi.

“Meanwhile, 17 other people are still in line. And the remaining eight people have not submitted their LHKPN. "Therefore, we remind them to immediately implement one of these provisions," added Hedi, Wednesday (24/7/2024).

Hedi explained that in KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 6/2024 article 52 paragraph 1 it is stated that the elected candidates for DPR, DPD, Provincial DPRD and Regency/Municipal DPRD members are required to report their assets to the agency authorized to examine assets. state administrators.

Then in the next article it is also stated that receipts for reporting assets must be submitted to the KPU, Provincial KPU and Regency/City KPU no later than 21 days before the inauguration.

"For selected candidates who do not submit a receipt for reporting their assets, the KPU, Provincial KPU and Regency/City KPU will not include the name of the person concerned in submitting the name of the selected candidate to be appointed," he stressed.

Meanwhile, according to Hedi, for the Regency/City DPRD in West Java, the elected legislative candidates who have all reported are Indramayu, Karawang, Pangandaran, Sukabumi, Bekasi, Bandung City and Banjar City.

"For selected candidates for members of the DPR and DPD, the Indonesian KPU will submit a copy of the decision to the president. Meanwhile, the Provincial KPU will submit the copy to the Minister of Home Affairs and the Regency/City KPU to the Governor through the Regent/Mayor to take the oath and promise," concluded Hedi.
