PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut Regency General Election Commission (KPU) has named 50 elected candidates for DPRD members.

This determination was made at the Plenary Meeting to Determine the Acquisition of Seats for Political Parties and Elected Candidates for Members of the Garut Regency DPRD for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

The activity took place in the Ballroom of the Fave Hotel Garut, Jalan Cimanuk, Tarogong Kidul District, Friday (14/6/2024).

This determination refers to Minutes Number: 364/PL.01.9-BA/3205/2024.

In the meeting, Chairman of the Garut Regency KPU, Dian Hasanudin, confirmed that the number of seats and votes obtained by political parties and selected candidates were in accordance with the data in the SiRekap application.

After the data was declared valid, members of the Garut Regency KPU together with political party representatives signed the minutes of determining the seats and the selected candidates.

Dian Hasanudin expressed his gratitude because the plenary meeting could be held smoothly after the recapitulation process on March 5 2024.

Based on the results of the legislative election, the Golongan Karya Party (Golkar) received the most votes with eight seats in the Garut Regency DPRD.

The inauguration of elected DPRD members is scheduled for August 13 2024.

Dian added that prospective elected members must submit a report of their assets a maximum of 21 days before the inauguration, in accordance with the provisions of PKPU Number 6 of 2024.

With the end of this plenary meeting, the 2024 election process in Garut Regency has been completed, producing 50 candidates for DPRD members who will represent around 2.7 million residents of Garut Regency.
