PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 500 Biofarma free homecoming participants departed from the Biofarma Multipurpose Building, Jalan Pasteur, Bandung (27/3/2025).

They were released by the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, and the management of PT Biofarma.

This free homecoming program is part of Biofarma's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) which has been routinely held since 2017.

This year, Biofarma has prepared 10 buses to transport travelers to Wonogiri.

Farhan appreciates Biofarma's consistency in helping the community through this program.

"This is not just a journey from point A to point B, but part of social, cultural, and silaturahmi mobilization. I am proud that Biofarma is an inseparable part of the city of Bandung. They are always there to help the community, especially at important moments like this," said Farhan.

According to him, mass homecoming has a positive impact on reducing traffic density and reducing the number of accidents on homecoming routes.

Farhan hopes that this program will continue and inspire other companies to contribute.

"We will continue to support programs like this because the benefits are very large for the community. The more people go home collectively, the less burden on the highway. God willing, this will be a blessing for all," said Farhan.

This year, public enthusiasm for Biofarma's free homecoming program is very high. Proven by the quota that ran out in just three hours since registration opened.

Before departure, all participants were invited to pray together for safety during the trip. Biofarma also ensured the comfort of participants by providing air-conditioned buses, snacks, and other facilities.

Marketing Director of PT Biofarma, Kamilia Faisal, said that this free homecoming program is the company's commitment to continue contributing to the community.

"Thank you to the TJSL team who have worked hard to organize this free homecoming. Your hard work, God willing, will be an act of worship. Pray for us that Biofarma will continue to grow and be able to play a greater role in society," said Kamilia.

Since it was first held in 2017, Biofarma has sent more than 5,000 travelers for free. In addition to Bandung, this year Biofarma also sent two additional buses from Cibitung.

Biofarma's free homecoming program is part of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) initiative which nationally targets 100,000 homecoming travelers using buses, trains, and ships to 200 cities and districts in Indonesia.

With this launch, it is hoped that all Biofarma free homecoming participants can arrive in their hometowns safely and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their beloved families. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
