
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Province Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman released the 2024 Free Homecoming which was organized by the West Java Provincial Government, Jasa Raharja, and various other parties at Leuwipanjang Terminal, Bandung City, Saturday ( 6/4/2024 ).
Herman hopes that the 2024 Free Homecoming program can bring happiness to the people of West Java ahead of Idul Fitri.
"From the Free Homecoming activity, the hope is that people will be happy, hopefully people will be happy. Because the government's job is to make people prosperous and happy," said Herman.
According to Herman, Free Homecoming is also an effort to accommodate the community so that they can go home safely and comfortably, while also reducing traffic density.
"This free homecoming is one of the concerns of the West Java Provincial Government for the people of West Java so that they can carry out their homecoming smoothly," he said.
Herman reported that there are 17 buses available for around 850 homecoming travelers at Leuwipanjang Terminal with two homecoming routes, namely Bandung - Cilegon (Merak), and Bandung - Sukabumi.
Meanwhile at the Cicaheum Terminal in Bandung City, there are routes Bandung - Yogyakarta (Giwangan), Bandung - Solo (Tirtonadi), Bandung - Tasikmalaya (Indihiang), Bandung - Pangandaran.
Then at the Jatijajar Depok Terminal, there are Depok - Yogyakarta (Giwangan), and Depok - Solo (Tirtonadi) routes, while the Cileungsi Terminal, Bogor Regency, has the Bogor - Yogyakarta (Giwangan) route.
Not only going home to West Java, there are also homecoming routes to West Java, such as the Yogyakarta (Giwangan) - Bandung (Cicaheum), and Yogyakarta (Giwangan) - Kuningan (Kertawinangun) routes.
Herman stated that the community was very enthusiastic about taking part in the Free Homecoming program. Based on data from the West Java Transportation Service on April 6 2024 , 2,192 seats out of the quota of 3,199 Free Homecoming seats have been filled.
The buses used in the Free Homecoming are ensured to be in prime condition after going through various checking processes. Likewise, bus drivers and crew are ensured to be healthy and fit, so it is hoped that the journey will be safe, comfortable and smooth.
"God willing, this has been well coordinated by the West Java Provincial Government and Leuwipanjang Terminal, the drivers have been checked, they are all healthy, free from drugs, because we have to guarantee safety when they reach their destination," said Herman.
