PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Regional Government together with a number of collaborators held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Preparing a Food Grand Design at the Aryaduta Hotel (2/8/2024).
For your information, this is the first time that the Bandung City OPD (Food and Agricultural Security Service) has prepared a document involving hundreds of percent of parties outside the government.
The Bandung City Government collaborators in this matter include: Parahyangan University, Rikolto Indonesia, and the Milan Urban Food Policy Pack (MUFPP).
Acting The Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Dharmawan, welcomed this activity positively. According to him, this activity is in line with the Bandung City Government's support for the SDGs.
He highlighted a number of SDGs goals that are in line with the Bandung City Government, including zero poverty, ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition and advancing sustainable agriculture. As well as ensuring responsible and sustainable consumption.
"Strong food security is combined with high food independence in ensuring the provision of food needs at the national, regional and household levels," said Dharmawan.
"It's not just about food security and sufficiency, but we are aware that food prices are volatile. "Therefore, we are trying to keep food easily accessible to the public," he added.
Dharmawan also mentioned the need for support from all parties in order to maintain food security in the city of Bandung. According to him, this FGD activity is very necessary to design the Food Grand Design in Bandung City.
"The existence of a Food Grand Design in Bandung City is needed as a reference for OPD regarding implementing the Bandung City Government strategy as a basis for the mindset and actions of each stakeholder," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City DKPP, Gin Gin Ginanjar, said that the Bandung City Food Grand Design was prepared to clarify the Bandung City Government's commitment to building a food system in the City of Bandung until 2030.
"This Grand Design can be a reference, a pattern of action, a pattern of thinking for us in strengthening food security," said Gin Gin. (Diskominfo Bandung City/Fauziah)
