PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop 2 Bandung added a series of Lodaya trains connecting Bandung - Solobalapan to face the long holiday this weekend, namely the Ascension of Isa Al-Masih holiday Thursday 9 May and Public Holiday Friday 10 May 2024.

PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager Ayep Hanapi said the increase in train travel frequency was aimed at anticipating an increase in customer volume during the long holiday.

"This increase in the number of train trips is also part of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung's commitment to improve service to customers, especially during high seasons such as this long weekend," said Ayep, Tuesday (7/5/2024).

In total, PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung operates 184 long-distance trains or an average of 46 long-distance trains per day during the long holiday period for the Ascension of Isa Al-Masih and collective leave.

Ayep said that the total number of long distance train tickets sold for the period 8-12 May 2024 was 24,131 tickets or an average of 4,826 tickets sold per day. This number is still 47 percent of the total long-distance train tickets sold, totaling 50,880 tickets.

"It is hoped that with the addition of Lodaya train trips, it will be able to increase public interest in traveling using safe, comfortable and healthy train transportation," said Ayep.
