PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Secretary of the Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning Service of West Java Province, Ari Antari Ratna Dewi, invited the media to strengthen family digital literacy through the Strengthening the Role of Family-Caring Media activity on the Rooftop of the West Java Provincial People's Representative Council Office (20/7/2026).

The event was attended by media personnel, journalists, and content creators from various regions in West Java to strengthen the capacity to build family resilience in the digital era.

Ari Antari Ratna Dewi said that almost all community activities take place in the digital space, so the media has a responsibility to increase public literacy.

"Almost every social activity takes place in the digital space. Therefore, the media plays a role not only as a transmitter of information but also has a responsibility to build literacy that can strengthen family resilience in the digital age," he said.

Deputy Chair of Commission V of the West Java Provincial People's Representative Council, Siti Muntamah, emphasized the importance of fostering families capable of facing digital challenges.

According to Siti, strengthening the role of the family needs to go hand in hand with the role of the media in creating a safe, healthy, and child-friendly digital space.

"Through this activity, we hope to build stronger commitment and synergy between the government, media, and all stakeholders in supporting the development of quality families in West Java," he said.

Almadina Rakhmaniar, Deputy Chairperson of the West Java Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, stated that families are at the forefront of building digital resilience through parental guidance for children.

Almadina also introduced the West Java KPID storytelling program as a digital literacy education medium for early childhood.

The Chairman of the West Java Family Planning Counselor Association, Najip Hendra, invited all parties to strengthen family development education through various relevant communication platforms.

This activity is expected to strengthen the role of the media as a government partner in providing educational information while creating a safe digital space for the people of West Java.
