
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A landslide disaster occurred in Pasanggrahan Village, Kasomalang District, Subang Regency, Sunday (7/1/2024).
The West Java Provincial Government through the West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) sent a team to intervene to carry out evacuations and assess the needs for disaster management personnel, equipment and logistics.
West Java BPBD Daily Chief Executive Dani Ramdan reported that the West Java BPBD is intensively coordinating with the Subang Regency BPBD to carry out the assessment.
"The BPBD team is currently at the TKP to carry out evacuations and assess the needs for personnel, equipment and disaster management logistics," said Dani.
Based on temporary reports in the field, said Dani, 11 people suffered minor injuries and one person died. In addition, around 300 residents were displaced. The affected residents will be evacuated to Majlis Ta'lim Bantar Panjang.
"Until now, assessments and data collection are still being carried out. We also continue to coordinate with various parties so that the handling of this landslide disaster runs optimally," said Dani.
Dani also asked the public to be alert to anticipate natural disasters that have hit a number of areas in West Java in the last few days.
