PORTALJABAR, BEKASI CITY - The Bekasi City Government together with the West Java Provincial Government held the 6th Edition of the Online Job Fair at PT. Metindo Erasakti, Jalan Raya Narogong KM. 12.5, Cikiwul Village, Bantar Gebang District, Bekasi City, Monday (10/26/2026).

This activity presents 23 companies with 68 active vacancies and a total of 2,887 vacancies offered to the public.

Several large companies are participating. PT Alzubara Manpower Indonesia is offering 1,181 positions in the hospitality and automotive sectors, requiring a minimum high school (SMA) or vocational high school (SMK) education. The selection process includes interviews and a medical test.

Furthermore, PT Bina Adidaya Mandiri Internasional opened 377 positions, and PT Bahana Putra Abadai 304 positions with placements in Bekasi, Indramayu, and Cirebon.

Specifically for overseas placements, dozens of vacancies are available for destination countries such as Turkey, Taiwan, and China, for example through PT Bahana Prestasi for Taiwan. Positions available include housekeeping, kitchen steward, and welder, with a salary range of IDR 10-15 million. Prospective workers will also receive language training before departure.

In their presentation, the company representatives emphasized that there were no registration administration fees and no brokers in the recruitment process.

West Java Governor Kang Dedi Mulyadi highlighted the high unemployment rate in Bekasi City, which still stands at 7 percent, despite the number of industrial companies exceeding 1,500.

"The biggest challenge for Bekasi is the unemployment rate, especially among local residents, which is still relatively high," said Governor KDM, as he is familiarly known, when opening an online job fair.

He encouraged continued dissemination of job vacancy information. "The way to do this is by opening online workspaces. After that, district and city heads can follow up by using the local government's TikTok social media platform. This will give the public access to government information," the Governor said.

Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhiyanto appreciated the enthusiasm of job seekers. "Even though it's only been a few days, job seekers have been quite responsive. This is evident in some vacancies, which are actually overloaded, in relation to the number of applicants," he said.

He emphasized three key points of this job fair. First, ensuring there are no brokers. "Today, there are no more brokers. Some time ago, residents felt cheated, not only by Bekasi City residents but also by residents outside Bekasi City," said the Mayor.

Second, it is a verification platform for overseas workers and third, the vacancies are very diverse.

"In terms of education level, they vary greatly. There are elementary, middle, vocational, and high school graduates, including graduates. They are also up to 45 years old. This is a great opportunity for job seekers," he added.

Head of the West Java Provincial Manpower Office, I Gede Agung Kim Fajar Wiyati Oka, stated that job vacancies in West Java continue to increase, as seen from the first, second, and current job fairs.

"Thank God, job openings are indeed increasing. It depends on whether or not the district and city are ready to hold regular job fairs. For example, yesterday in Karawang, we held a job fair with 1,400 job openings. Then, a week later, we held an online job fair, so there were an additional 844 openings," he explained.

He also encouraged companies to actively access the "Nyari Gawe" platform to post job openings. The Bekasi City Online Job Fair, Edition #6, is still accessible through the West Java Provincial Government's "Nyari Gawe" app.
