PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin together with the ranks of the West Java Forkompinda carried out monitoring at several points on the eve of the 2024 Eid takbiran, Tuesday (9/4/2024). The situation in Bandung City is safe and conducive.

"We appreciate the officers who are on standby. After inspecting a number of points at Gedung Merdeka, Gedung Sate and the Cikapayang Command Post, the conditions in Greater Bandung and God willing, West Java are generally safe and conducive," said Bey at the Cikapayang Command Post, Bandung City.

Bey revealed that from monitoring by the West Java Regional Police, officers remained on standby starting from H+3 because it was estimated that people would start visiting tourist attractions, including Lembang, Ciwidey, Pangalengan and also Pangandaran.

With tourism and homecoming activities possibly still taking place, Bey hopes and appeals to people who use private vehicles to ensure that the vehicles are in top condition and that drivers also maintain their health.

"If you are tired, please rest, don't force yourself. We have prepared command posts along the journey. Take advantage of them, don't get tired on the journey," he said.

Until H-1 of Idul Fitri 1445 Hijriah, Bey said, the homecoming flow was running relatively well compared to last year, including regarding traffic jams.

"We thank the people who have complied with our advice to share their homecoming journey so that there is no very high density," he said.
