PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Communication and Informatics Office is maximizing the Super Aps Sapawarga application to provide information on the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming.

Head of the West Java Province Communications and Informatics Office, Adi Komar, said that through the Sapawarga application, the public can find out the latest information regarding homecoming in West Java and safe homecoming routes.

"We are focused on providing more accurate information, particularly on safe and smooth homecoming routes, and on a free homecoming program integrated with CCTV traffic monitoring," he explained on Thursday (February 26, 2026).

Sapawarga is also an app for booking free homecoming tickets, which will be implemented by the West Java Provincial Government. According to Adi, free homecoming ticket reservations will be available from February 11 to March 12, 2026.

When registering, travelers only need to enter personal information such as name, National Identification Number (NIK), address, Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) number, date of birth, and departure route. Departure date selection will be made upon ticket activation between March 1 and 12, 2026.

The West Java Communications and Informatics Agency will also maximize its Command Center as a central hub for managing information on homecoming routes, utilizing CCTV along the homecoming and tourist routes in West Java. By utilizing CCTV, the most accurate information can be obtained immediately.

"The Command Center will be very useful for the public and field officers in monitoring and making appropriate decisions regarding the 1447 Hijri homecoming travel conditions," he added.

Head of the West Java Transportation Agency, Dhani Gumelar, said that the 2026 Free Homecoming Program will depart on March 13, 14, and 15, 2026, with departure points from several locations, such as Leuwipanjang Terminal (Bandung), Cikarang Terminal, and Bekasi City.

The West Java Provincial Government, together with Jasa Raharja, has prepared a free homecoming quota of 3,040 tickets by partnering with several bus companies, such as Sugeng Rahayu, Damri, Sinar Jaya, Primajasa, and MGI. A total of 74 buses will be provided.

Through the 2026 Free Homecoming Program, the West Java Provincial Government is providing routes both within and outside West Java Province. The free homecoming program is open to all residents of West Java who wish to return to their hometowns.

The buses used have also met safety standards, as determined through pre-departure ramp checks. Drivers and crew are also guaranteed to be in good health and ready to serve passengers throughout the journey.

In addition to the Communication and Information Agency, the West Java Transportation Agency is also coordinating with other agencies to ensure the reliability of homecoming routes, especially in anticipation of possible natural disasters such as landslides.

He estimates that around 70 percent of travelers will use private vehicles. Many of them will travel through West Java on toll roads, so the West Java Transportation Agency will ensure smooth traffic flow on the toll roads.
