PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The people of West Java, especially the city of Bandung and its surroundings, are very enthusiastic about accessing public services available in the Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga program at Bale Pakuan (Pakuan Building), Bandung City, Saturday (12/4/2025).
This can be seen from the large number of people who want to get health services. According to the Head of the West Java Provincial Health Office, Vini Adiani Dewi, there were around 500 people who underwent health checks.
"Alhamdulillah, today for health services, the people who want to get health services are very enthusiastic," said Vini.
"For health checks including free health checks consisting of blood tests, ultrasound, EKG, immunizations recorded 353 people, for dental check-ups recorded 101 people and for free circumcision services 60 people," he added.
In Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga, the West Java Health Office opened dental and mental health consultations to the community. In addition, the West Java Health Office held educational games and opened traditional health services such as acupressure.
"This event is very helpful in providing direct services, providing education and providing information about the services obtained at the Health Center," said Vini.
In addition to health checks, the community is also very enthusiastic about participating in disaster mitigation education from the West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). Education packaged through "storytelling" aims to increase public understanding of disasters, especially related to disaster mitigation.
One of the visitors to Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga, Lilis, said that educational activities about disasters are very important and need to be known by the public.
"It also makes us know how to do rescue. I also tried the spider web game, at first I was afraid of heights, but after that I got used to it," said Lilis, a resident of Sukajadi, Bandung City.
"Storytelling" is also important, earlier we talked about the various disasters in Indonesia, then how to deal with them, how we can deal with disasters if we suddenly have a disaster," he added.
The same thing was said by a student of SMA Negeri 4 Bandung Ule. According to him, disaster education that is packaged in a light and interesting way can increase students' knowledge, especially related to disaster mitigation.
"This activity is very useful. We learned about disasters, it turns out there are many types of disasters, there are 13," said Ule.
In addition to providing various public services, Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga is even more lively with the presence of a puppet show at night. Thousands of people flocked to Bale Pakuan to witness one of West Java's cultural riches.
Sitting on mats, the crowd watched four puppeteers with great attention and joy at once, namely Wawan Dede Amung Sutarya, Dadan Sunandar Sunarya, Iman Cecep Supriadi, and Khanha Ade Kosasih Sunarya.
One of the visitors, Febi Hakim, said that the wayang golek performance was not only entertaining, but also full of lessons and life philosophy.
"This is a fascinating and learning experience. Moreover, in this wayang golek performance, there are many moral values, life philosophies, which are delivered in a light and entertaining way," said Febi.
Febi also did not expect that the public's enthusiasm to watch the puppet show was so high. He had to jostle to get a good place while watching the show.
"For the younger generation, this is a rare opportunity to learn about local wisdom and love the culture of West Java in a fun way," he said.
"In essence, I am very happy and proud to be able to witness the puppet show live. Hopefully, events like this, performances or other art performances from West Java, can be held routinely and easily accessible to the public," he added.
