PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Pertamina will take firm action in the form of terminating the cooperation agreement and taking legal steps if it is found that there is a practice of mixing LPG by LPG distributor partners.

It will be naughty in the realm of law if it is found that there is a practice of mixing LPG. Apart from that, Pertamina also emphasized that it would terminate cooperation agreements with partners.

This was confirmed by Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, Eko Kristiawan, following the discovery of distributor partners mixing 3 kg LPG into 5.5 kg or 12 kg LPG, which occurred in Malakasari Village, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency.

"If any official Pertamina LPG distribution partner commits a violation, we will hand it over to the authorities for legal proceedings. "We will also impose sanctions ranging from warnings to PHU (Termination of Business Relations)," said Eko, Friday (22/3/2024).

According to Eko, the act of mixing LPG is a criminal act, apart from being detrimental to society and the state, it can also be dangerous for the perpetrator and the surrounding environment.

"Mixing or the transfer and filling process that does not comply with safety standards can have fatal consequences," he stressed.

Eko asked the public to help oversee the distribution of LPG. And if you find or see the practice of mixing or other fraudulent acts, you can report it directly to the competent authorities or Pertamina. Previously, the Bandung City Police (Polresta) succeeded in arresting the perpetrator of mixing 3 kg subsidized LPG with 5.5 kg Bright Gas LPG and 12 kg non-subsidized LPG. After previously receiving information from the public who complained that LPG ran out quickly before time and the price was lower than normal prices.

There were four perpetrators consisting of the base owner, a collector of LPG cylinders and then selling the LPG cylinders that had been mixed. As well as 2 people who transferred the contents of the 3 Kg LPG cylinder to 5.5 Kg or 12 Kg LPG.
The perpetrator sells them to stalls or restaurants. In one day they can sell up to 140. And the four of them have been named suspects.
