PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto officially named several roads in Bogor Regency, especially in the Pakansari Stadium area, Cibinong, on Tuesday (4/22/2025). This activity is the initial step of the road naming program throughout Bogor Regency.

Several roads now officially have new names, one of which is Jalan Soekarno-Hatta for the Jalan Sentul Kandang Roda section. Meanwhile, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman is applied from Kandang Roda to Pakansari.

Eddy Yoso Street is designated from Tegar Beriman Street towards Pakansari Stadium and Raden Ipik Gandamana Street for the outer ring of Pakansari Stadium as well as General Hoegeng Street from Ciawi towards Gadog.

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto emphasized the importance of honoring the services of the nation's heroes by immortalizing their names in public spaces, including naming streets.

"We as Indonesian people must respect the services of the fighters who died fighting for independence. Today, we remember and honor their struggle, one of which is by naming streets after national and regional figures," he said.

In addition, he will also inaugurate the naming of sports facilities, one of which is the Indoor Tennis Court named the Kapten Muslihat Tennis Court. The naming is a form of respect for the local fighter figure.

Rudy Susmanto added that the naming process was carried out in stages so as not to disrupt administrative services to the community.

Although the street names have been officially announced, the administrative changes will not be implemented 100 percent immediately. The district government has given a transition period so that the community can adjust.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency Agus Ridhalah explained that the process of naming this road has been discussed and compiled together by the Road Naming Advisory Board. The inaugural launch began from the Pakansari Stadium area by naming Jalan Raden Ipik Gandamana, as a form of respect for one of the first regents of Bogor Regency.

Furthermore, the road naming process will continue to be carried out comprehensively throughout the Bogor Regency area by considering historical value, local wisdom, and contributions from national and regional figures.

"Of course, we will continue to be committed to presenting public spaces that are not only functional, but also have educational value and respect for the nation's history," he added.
