PORTALJABAR, WEST BANDUNG REGENCY - Environmental conservation efforts continue through various reforestation activities in the upstream areas of West Bandung Regency (KBB). One such initiative, "Greening Lembang KBB from Upstream to Downstream with Alfamart," was held on Thursday (May 7, 2026) in the Cikidang area of West Bandung Regency.

This activity demonstrates a concrete collaboration between the community, volunteers, environmental groups, and the private sector in supporting ecosystem restoration and preserving upstream areas. Tree planting took place in several hilly areas and green areas as a concrete step to strengthen water absorption and maintain environmental balance.

The upstream areas of the KBB play a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of the ecosystem from upstream to downstream. Therefore, the presence of vegetation and tree cover is crucial in preventing environmental damage such as erosion, reduced water flow, and potential hydrometeorological disasters.

On this occasion, the Regent of West Bandung Regency expressed his appreciation for the reforestation activities involving various elements of society and the business world.

"Environmental preservation must be a collective effort. Protecting the upstream area means protecting the lives of future communities. Through this reforestation initiative, we hope the Cikidang area will remain sustainable, green, and able to provide ecological benefits for future generations," said the Regent of West Bandung Regency.
