PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno appreciates the steps of Bandung City which is the first city in Indonesia to launch the 2025 Calendar of Events (COE).

The launch of the COE took place at a lively event at The Papandayan Hotel, Monday (30/9/2024).

This activity was attended by various regional officials, creative industry players, and the general public.

In the video, Sandiaga emphasized that the launch of COE 2025 is an important step for Bandung to strengthen its position as a center for tourism and the creative economy in Indonesia.

"Bandung is the first city to launch the Calendar of Events 2025, and this shows Bandung's readiness to welcome more tourists, both domestic and international," said Sandiaga.

He hopes that the innovation and thorough preparation carried out by the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) can be an example for other cities in Indonesia.

Sandiaga also hopes that the launch of the COE can have a big positive impact on the growth of the tourism sector in Bandung, which is currently in the top three tourist destinations in Indonesia.

"COE 2025 can trigger the enthusiasm and creativity of other cities to follow in Bandung's footsteps, and become a new attraction that can increase national tourism visits," he added.

COE 2025 Bandung City includes 84 events that will be held throughout next year, including ten featured events such as the Soap Box Cart Race, Trademark Market, Bandung Orchestra Festival, Now Playing Gestival, Playlist Live Festival, Baso Juara Festival, Seuhah Festival, Angklung Pride, The Papandayan Jazz Festival and the Asia Africa Festival.

According to Sandiaga, these events will not only highlight local cultural and creative potential, but also encourage regional economic growth.

"The launch of COE is not just a ceremony, but a real step to build sustainable and innovative tourism. Congratulations and success for COE 2025 Bandung City, hopefully these events can increase tourist visits, create jobs, and strengthen Bandung's creative economy sector," said Sandiaga Uno.
