PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi invited the women's organization Aisyiyah to be involved in resolving a number of social issues in West Java.

This was stated by KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, when giving a speech at the 109th Anniversary Reception of Aisyiyah at the Darul Arqam Garut Islamic Boarding School on Monday (22/6/2026), which was held by the West Java Aisyiyah Regional Leadership (PWA).

According to KDM, the active involvement of community organizations in West Java, such as Aisyiyah, is needed to overcome the various social challenges currently facing the people of West Java.

"I urge all mass organizations, both religious and non-religious, to take a more concrete step. If we continue to provide coaching within our organizations, the perceived benefits will be limited," said KDM.

Therefore, KDM hopes that Aisyiyah will directly intervene to resolve family problems, such as teenage brawls caused by parents' lack of attention to their children, including parents who must work as migrant workers.

"What needs to be addressed are the children whose mothers are migrant workers, who lack affection every day, eventually leading to them carrying sickles. Girls from broken homes who hang out outside every day, coming home at midnight. Aisyiyah will then go down to the children who are hanging out, hug them lovingly, invite them to the assembly, and escort them home. If their parents aren't around, let Aisyiyah mothers become foster mothers for the children from broken homes," he said.

To resolve this problem, KDM invited Aisyiyah to collaborate with the local government so that it could be integrated.

In front of the invited guests present, KDM also highlighted the problems of poverty, orphans, poor people's homes, stunting, maternal and child mortality, road infrastructure, and irrigation that must be improved by the government.

"We want to address all of this with the increasingly strained budget allocation, which has already been cut by Rp3.6 trillion over the past two years," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the West Java Aisyiyah Regional Leadership, Ia Kurniati, emphasized that Aisyiyah's path of da'wah is always to realize a good, peaceful, and blessed life.

"Aisyiyah West Java is committed to continuing to mitigate conflict through enlightening dialogue, fair policies, and disseminating the values of peace for the future of future generations," he said.

Carrying the theme "Strengthening Humanitarian Preaching to Achieve Peace", this activity was attended by hundreds of cadres, community leaders, and regional and provincial leaders.

At the same location, Garut Regent H Abdusy Syakur Amin expressed his appreciation for Aisyiyah's consistent support for the community. He also encouraged Aisyiyah to continue collaborating with the local government to break the cycle of poverty and address various social issues.
