
PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent, Abdusy Syakur Amin, emphasized the importance of educational access and a participatory approach in the preparation of the 2027 Garut Regency Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD).
He conveyed this while attending the online Monitoring of the Implementation of the Sub-district Level Musrenbang via Zoom Meetings, which was held at the Sindanggalih Village Office, Karangpawitan District, Tuesday (10/2/2026).
Abdusy Syakur Amin commended the Karangpawitan Sub-district Head for his highly participatory approach in gathering community aspirations. However, the Regent specifically conveyed a profound message regarding the education sector.
"I've instructed the sub-district head and village head to take inventory of our children who want to go to school. Encourage them and ensure they attend school," the Regent emphasized.
He hopes that all relevant stakeholders will make efforts to ensure that children attend school, so that they can improve their qualifications in the future, in order to realize a decent life for them.
Meanwhile, the Head of Karangpawitan District, Anas Aolia Malik, presented 10 priority proposals that will be the focus of development in his region for 2027, including:
1. Infrastructure: Repair of Gatot Subroto Road – GCI Lebak Jaya Housing Complex (1,000 meters).
2. Social: Repair of 20 Rutilahu units in Sidanglaya.
3. Sanitation: Construction of 1 toilet and septic tank unit in RW 06, Ciarus Village, Sindangpalay Village.
4. Economy: Providing business capital for Great Young Entrepreneurs in Situsaeur Village.
5. Agriculture: Rehabilitation and maintenance of 300 meters of Farm Road in Situsaeur Village.
6. Empowerment: Management training for Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) & MSMEs in Suci Village.
7. Technology: Procurement of 17 Public Wifi units in RW 01 - RW 17, Lebakjaya Subdistrict.
8. Sports: Procurement of 17 ping pong tables for Lebakjaya Subdistrict.
9. Public Facilities: Construction of 1 volleyball court in RW 04, Suci Kaler Subdistrict.
10. Welfare: Joint Business Group (KUBE) capital assistance for 200 families of women at socio-economic risk in Situsari Village.
In addition, the Secretary of Karangpawitan District explained that this year's Musrenbang refers to the theme "Equalizing Access to Basic Services and Increasing Regional Productivity." This is aligned with the strategic issues of Garut Regency in 2027 and is based on regulations from the national to regional levels, including Garut Regency Regulation No. 3 of 2025 concerning the 2025-2029 RPJMD.
The primary objective of this activity is to agree on a grouping of priority activities based on the duties and functions of regional government agencies, so that the 2027 development planning document is systematic, targeted, and comprehensive for the Karangpawitan community and its surroundings.
