PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The government is implementing traffic engineering in the Gedung Sate area from April 30 to August 7, 2026. This policy is being implemented as part of the ongoing development of the Gedung Sate and Gasibu areas.
During this period, a number of road sections experienced traffic diversions that the public, especially vehicle users who frequently pass through the West Java government center, should pay attention to.
From Supratman's Direction
From Jalan Supratman, vehicles can no longer go directly to Gedung Sate.
Traffic flow is diverted via Jalan Sentot Alibasya, then continues to Jalan Surapati which is the connecting access to the Dago and Pasteur areas.
From Dago
For drivers from the direction of Dago, access to Gedung Sate has also changed.
Vehicles are directed to pass via Jalan Cilamaya which is on the back side of Gedung Sate.
Access to Gedung Sate
Meanwhile, access to Gedung Sate remains open on a limited basis via Jalan Majapahit to support activities and operations in the area.
With the implementation of this traffic engineering, the public is advised to adjust their travel routes and arrange departure times to avoid potential congestion, especially during rush hour.
Road users are also asked to always obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field.
The government confirmed that this traffic engineering is temporary and is intended to facilitate the smooth development of the area and create a more orderly, safe, and comfortable environment for the public. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/rka)
