This Musrenbang marks the Bandung City Government's commitment to focus on sustainable development and improving the quality of public services.
In his speech, Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan emphasized that Musrenbang is not just a ceremony, but an important momentum to agree on the direction of Bandung City's development for the next five years.
"What we do is part of our worship efforts. This is not about Farhan, this is about the city of Bandung," said Farhan.
He said that the vision of the City of Bandung 2025–2029 is to realize a City of Bandung that is Superior, Open, Trustworthy, Advanced, and Religious through a government that is service-oriented and sustainable in supporting national development.
There are three keywords that are used as a guide, namely; supporting national development, sustainable, and service-oriented.
Farhan emphasized the importance of collaboration between technocracy and politics, as well as the involvement of all elements of society including academics, Forkopimda, OPD, professional associations, and communities.
This Musrenbang also discussed the new paradigm of Bandung City development, from a sectoral approach to a regional approach, with a focus on directly resolving people's problems.
On this occasion, a number of priority programs were established, including:

Meanwhile, the Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Iskandar Zulkarnain, in his report said that this Musrenbang is a series of stages in compiling the RPJMD and RKPD documents which have started from community discussions, sub-district Musrenbang, to regional apparatus forums.
"All OPDs are expected to provide input on their respective strategic plans, so that the preparation of the RPJMD and RKPD can be completed on time according to the provisions," said Zul.
Musrenbang was held in one day and attended by around 450 participants from various elements, including heads of regional apparatus, sub-district heads, BUMD/BUMN, academics, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Asep Mulyadi, expressed his full support for the Musrenbang process.
He reminded of the importance of paying attention to several strategic aspects in the 2025–2029 RPJMD, such as:

"Bandung City DPRD fully supports the implementation of the 2025–2029 RPJMD Musrenbang as an implementation of the mandate of Law Number 25 of 2004 and Home Affairs Ministerial Regulation Number 86 of 2017," said Asep.
In addition, Asep also reminded of the importance of anticipating traffic jams and flooding along with the development of the East Bandung (Gedebage) area as a new city center.
