In his remarks, Regent Syakur emphasized the importance of Musrenbang in formulating solutions to various problems that will be faced in the 2026 regional development plan. He highlighted a number of challenges still faced by Garut, such as health, education, and economic indexes that still need to be improved.

"Our economic index, especially people's purchasing power, is still relatively low. Strategic steps are needed to increase productivity," said Syakur. He added that increasing people's productivity must be supported by conducive investment.

Syakur hopes that Garut can create a good investment climate so that investors are interested in doing business in the region. "Investment coming into Garut will bring benefits to both parties, both investors and the local community," he added.

Meanwhile, Garut Regional Secretary Nurdin Yana emphasized that Musrenbang must focus on three main sectors, namely education, health, and public welfare. He asked all sub-district heads in Garut Regency to really implement Musrenbang properly.

"The sub-district head must be able to explore the conditions in the field in depth to ensure that the data obtained can be the basis for development planning," said Nurdin. He also emphasized the importance of accurate data as a basis for policy determination.

Head of Bappeda Garut, Didit Fajar Putradi, on that occasion explained that the sub-district level Musrenbang is part of the preparation of the 2026 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). This process includes discussing priority programs that will be integrated with the regional development plan.

The sub-district level Musrenbang will take place from February 21 to March 3, 2025. The results of this deliberation will be used as material for improving the draft of the 2026 regional apparatus work plan and will be discussed further in the regional apparatus forum.
