PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Metro Jabar Trans bus which started operating early this year is the West Java Provincial Government's answer to improving the quality of public transportation in Bandung City.

So far, Metro Jabar Trans has 6 corridors with different operating hours, namely:

1. Leuwipanjang-Soreang: 04.40-20.30 WIB.
2. Parahyangan New City-Bandung Square: 04.30-20.00 WIB.
3. Baleendah-Bandung Electronic Center (BEC): 04.30-20.00 WIB.
4. Leuwipanjang-Padjadjaran University (Unpad) Dipatiukur: 04.30-20.30 WIB.
5. Unpad Dipatiukur-Unpad Jatinangor: 04.30-19.30 WIB.
6. Leuwipanjang-Majalaya: 06.00-14.00 WIB.

Metro Trans Jabar bus fleet is equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seats. So, you just sit back and enjoy the journey to your destination stop.

These various conveniences are simply redeemed with a very affordable rate, only Rp4,900. In addition, the easy payment method, namely with QRIS and e-money cards, adds to the value and quality of this public transportation.

"For payment, we have two methods. First, use e-money. Second, use QRIS, m-banking, and others. QRIS can be scanned on the bus, e-money can be tapped on the device. Any e-money card can be used," said Corridor 5 Service Officer, Ujang Saepudin when interviewed at the Unpad Dipatiukur Corridor 5 Bus Stop, Tuesday (16/1/2025).

Not only that, this comfortable bus has special rates for students, the elderly, and those with special needs. The fare price is getting cheaper, which is only Rp2,000. How to register is:

1. Scan the barcode on the bus and open the link.
2. Fill in the form with your personal data to create an account.
3. Wait for account notification via e-mail.
4. Fill in the user data profile and bank electronic money card number.
5. Wait for notification of the verification process via e-mail.
6. Inform the driver to activate the special rate, then the driver will activate the personal application on the TOB reader by scanning the QR.
7. The bank's electronic money card is tapped on the reader on the bus.

When boarding the Metro Trans Jabar bus, there are things you need to pay attention to, one of which is the use of priority seats.

"The priority seats are for the elderly, disabled, and pregnant women," explained Ujang.

In addition to the cheap service fee factor, the Metro Trans Jabar bus fleet is equipped with air conditioning and clean and comfortable seats. So, you just sit back and enjoy the trip to the destination stop.

"The seats are also clean, the facilities are also comfortable, and the route and journey are also quite comfortable so you can enjoy the trip," said Wildan Azhar, a student at the Indonesian Computer University.

Users of the blue and white bus service hope that the number of stops will be increased due to the long distance between the stops, making it easier to reach various destinations.

"Yes, maybe the number of bus stops should be increased because the bus stops are quite far from one bus stop to another, so if we are in the middle, it is difficult to get to another bus stop," Wildan added.

With the various factors mentioned, it is no wonder that many Bandung residents use this public transportation service. The satisfaction of the service that has been given makes them return to riding the Metro Jabar Trans bus as a daily routine.
