PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) has taken action against several nightlife venues (THM) found violating regulations requiring tourism businesses to close on religious holidays. Officers also sealed off a shop selling alcoholic beverages.

In a monitoring and inspection operation held on Monday (15/6/2026) evening, officers found several locations still operating even though there had been a circular regarding closure from the Bandung City Government.

Head of the Bandung City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Bambang Sukardi, said that the supervision was carried out as an effort to enforce regulations while maintaining order and conduciveness in Bandung City during the celebration of religious holidays.

"This activity is a follow-up to the Bandung Mayor's Circular regarding the closure of tourism businesses during religious holidays in 2026. We are monitoring to ensure all business actors comply with the established provisions," said Bambang.

The operation, which took place from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM WIB, involved personnel from the Regional Legislation Enforcement Division (PPHD) of the Bandung City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) as well as operational control assistance (BKO) elements from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

Officers visited several locations targeted for surveillance. One of the locations found to be still operating was in the Talaga Bodas area. During the inspection at around 9:35 PM WIB, officers found the entertainment venue operating.

Following these findings, officers reprimanded the manager and ordered him to immediately cease all operational activities. Furthermore, the identity of the person in charge was secured for further investigation. The manager is also scheduled to appear before Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) investigators on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Officers then visited several THMs on Jalan Mohammad Toha at around 9:59 p.m. WIB. At the time of the inspection, the establishments were in the process of being closed after previously resuming operations.

The Satpol PP then secured the identity of the person in charge and summoned the person concerned to appear before investigators, bringing all business licensing documents.

Meanwhile, at the Queen Massage location, which is also in the Mohammad Toha area, officers confirmed that the business premises were closed and no activities were found that violated regulations.

In addition to monitoring nightlife venues, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) also discovered an alcoholic beverage store near Jalan Mohammad Toha. Upon inspection at around 10:20 PM WIB, officers determined the store lacked a valid permit.

Officers seized 28 bottles of various alcoholic beverages from the location. In addition to securing the identity of the person in charge, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) also sealed the business premises as a law enforcement measure.

"We sealed the premises of the unlicensed alcoholic beverage store and seized 28 bottles of alcoholic beverages as evidence. The person in charge of the business will also be questioned by Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) investigators," Bambang said.

At the conclusion of the activity, officers also inspected several nightlife venues along Jalan Sulanjana. They found all locations closed and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Bambang emphasized that the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) will continue to monitor and enforce regulations against all business actors who do not comply with government policies, especially during religious holidays.

According to him, compliance with the rules is a form of respect for religious values as well as an effort to maintain public order.

"We urge all business actors to comply with applicable regulations. Monitoring will continue, and any violations will be prosecuted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he said.

For information, the operation was carried out based on Bandung City Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning Public Order, Peace, and Community Protection as well as Circular Letter of the Mayor of Bandung Number 004-Disbudpar/2026 concerning the Closure of Tourism Businesses on Religious Holidays in 2026.
