PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - The results of the revitalization of SDN 2 Margaharja, Sukadana District, were introduced through the Revitalized School Open House activity, Friday (16/10/2026).

This activity became a momentum to demonstrate the results of improving educational facilities while also appreciating the central government's support for the development of school facilities in Ciamis Regency.

Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya attended the event and marked the inauguration with a ribbon cutting.

The series of events also included a home opening ceremony as part of the open house for the revitalized school.

Through this activity, the results of the revitalization were introduced as a form of support for the creation of a more suitable, safe, and comfortable learning environment for students.

It is hoped that the improved facilities can be utilized optimally to support the teaching and learning process.

In his remarks, Regent Herdiat expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his attention to the education sector, including through the National School Revitalization Program which covers Ciamis Regency.

"Thank you and appreciation to the President for his significant attention to education. This demonstrates the central government's commitment, including to schools in Ciamis Regency," he said.

According to him, central government support is very important for the regions, especially when regional financial capacity is still limited to meet all educational infrastructure development needs.

The school revitalization program is considered to help local governments improve the suitability of educational facilities without relying entirely on the regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD).

Regent Herdiat emphasized that education is a long-term investment that determines the quality of human resources.

Therefore, improving school facilities must go hand in hand with efforts to improve the quality of learning and prepare the nation's next generation.

He said that the goal of realizing Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045 needs to be prepared from an early age, especially through quality basic education.

"To create the golden generation of 2045, preparation must begin at an early age, particularly through basic education. Children must be provided with a positive learning environment so they can grow into a quality generation," he stressed.

Open House Becomes Momentum to Maintain Revitalization Results

In addition to appreciating the central government's support, the regent reminded all school residents to maintain and care for the revitalized facilities.

He asked the principal, teachers, and students to share a shared concern for educational buildings and facilities so that they are maintained and can be used in the long term.

According to him, the success of the development is not only measured by the completion of physical work, but also by the school's ability to utilize and maintain the facilities sustainably.

Regent Herdiat hopes that the facilities resulting from the revitalization of SDN 2 Margaharja can provide real benefits for teaching and learning activities.

Good maintenance is also necessary so that preventable damage does not burden the regional budget again.

The National School Revitalization Program through the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is part of the government's efforts to improve the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure.

By holding the Open House for the Revitalized School at SDN 2 Margaharja, it is hoped that the development results will be increasingly recognized and utilized by the school community.

This central government support is also expected to strengthen Ciamis Regency's efforts to provide a suitable educational environment to improve the quality of human resources. (Ciamis Regency Communications and Information Service/rka)
