PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The Reuse, Reduce, Recycle (TPS3R) Waste Management Site is a concrete step in managing waste more effectively and efficiently, which can later have a positive impact on environmental sustainability.

This was conveyed by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Iyan Priyatna, when inaugurating the TPS3R Building in a series of Mulia Eco Fest 2024 activities, which took place at the Ecoriparian Park in Sukaragam Village, Bekasi Regency, Sunday (23/6/2024).

Iyan said that the Bekasi Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) appreciates the steps taken by Mulia Industry Group in collaborating with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), which has carried out Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP) obligations in Bekasi Regency.

"This is a concrete manifestation of the company's commitment to supporting government programs in improving the quality of infrastructure and public facilities, preserving the environment, and developing the knowledge and skills of human resources," he said.

According to him, the various activities carried out at Mulia Eco Fest 2024 can inspire people to care more and continue to play an active role in protecting the environment.

Apart from that, efforts have been made by the regional government through simultaneous tree planting activities and free emission tests on vehicles in order to maintain the sustainability of nature.

"The presence of the environmentally friendly MSME exhibition is also an extraordinary initiative in my opinion, this provides an opportunity for MSME players to display environmentally friendly products, which not only support nature conservation, but also strengthen the local economy," he said.

Serang Baru Subdistrict Head Deni Mulyadi added that the existence of TPS3R in the Serang Baru Subdistrict area is expected to have a positive impact such as reducing the volume of waste that usually has to be transported to the landfill and providing additional economic value from waste management itself.

"This was also directly confirmed by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Sukaragam Village Waste Bank Forum. He welcomed this and hopes that this can become a forum for the community to actively participate in waste management and provide economic value from well-managed waste," he said.
