PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja and Mayor of Bekasi Tri Adhianto signed the minutes of handover of assets and two service areas of the Regional Public Company Tirta Bhagasasi (20/7/2026) to improve clean water services to the community.

The signing took place at the Bekasi City Government Hall as part of the completion of the arrangement of drinking water service management between the Bekasi Regency Government and the Bekasi City Government.

The two service areas that were handed over include the Bekasi City service area and the Pondok Ungu service area.

Asep Surya Atmaja said that the management arrangement between the Regional Public Company Tirta Bhagasasi and the Regional Public Company Tirta Patriot was an important stage that required commitment and communication from both regional governments.

"On behalf of the Bekasi Regency Government, I would like to express my appreciation to the Bekasi City Government, the ranks of Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi, Perumda Tirta Patriot, and all parties who have overseen every stage of this process with full responsibility. Certainly, there were many dynamics to be faced, but with good communication and a spirit of togetherness, the entire process can proceed according to the agreement that was established together," said Asep.

Asep hopes that the handover of these assets will make clean water services faster, more professional, and not disrupt customer needs.

"I also hope that after this handover process is completed, public services can be even more optimal. We must ensure that the public experiences no obstacles or a decline in service quality. This is the momentum to continue improving professionalism, expediting service delivery, and providing assurance to all customers," he said.

Tri Adhianto assessed that the transfer of assets and service areas provides certainty of authority so that the drinking water service administration process becomes more effective.

"If these two regional public utilities, Tirta Bhagasasi and Tirta Patriot, remain merged, there will be limited authority within each regional public utility and slow down the administrative process. Our goal is to provide the best service to the public in meeting their clean water needs," said Tri.

According to Tri, the agreement serves as a momentum to strengthen cooperation between the Bekasi Regency Government and the Bekasi City Government to provide better clean water services to the community.

"The most important thing is understanding, because we are all brothers and sisters. It's already difficult for people to distinguish between Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency. Through this shared commitment, we hope that Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi and Tirta Patriot will progress further, become even greater, and be able to provide better services to the public," he concluded.

This management arrangement is expected to create more effective governance, accelerate services, and ensure the availability of clean water in each region.
