PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Governor of West Java (Jabar), Dedi Mulyadi officially appointed the Head of the e-Government Division of the West Java Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo), Mark Aditya, as Acting Head of the UPTD for Educational Information and Communication Technology (Tikomdik) of the West Java Education Service (Disdik).

The Governor emphasized that all government applications within the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) should ideally be built in an integrated manner through the Communications and Information Service (Diskominfo), rather than running separately in each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD).

"Therefore, for the time being, the position of Head of the UPTD Tikomdik is filled by Mark Aditya, Head of the e-Government Division of the West Java Communication and Information Service until a new definitive official is appointed," said the Governor while reviewing the New Student Admission System (SPMB) service at the West Java Education Office, Tuesday (9/6/2026).

This strategic step was taken as part of the West Java Provincial Government's effort to ensure that various technical issues are resolved promptly before the official commencement of the SPMB. This integration is expected to make the student admissions process smoother, more transparent, and less detrimental to prospective students.

Responding to the decision, the Head of the West Java Education Office, Purwanto, expressed his readiness to fully support the appointment. He assured that the entire SPMB committee would work together under the technical coordination of the new Acting Head of the UPTD Tikomdik.

"With strict monitoring and system integration, we hope the public can access all registration services easily, fairly, and conveniently," he concluded. (Apun)
