PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - The Ciamis Regency Government (Pemkab) participated in the signing of the Cooperation Agreement for Optimizing Central and Regional Tax Collection which was held virtually, Wednesday (15/10/2025).
This activity is a form of strategic synergy between the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK), and regional governments throughout Indonesia to strengthen the national taxation system.

The event was also witnessed by a number of regional officials, including the Head of the Ciamis Pratama Tax Office, the Head of the Investment and PTSP Office, the Head of the Communication and Information Office, and the Secretary of the Ciamis Regency Bapenda.
This cooperation agreement aims to optimize central and regional tax collection through the exchange and utilization of tax data and information. Furthermore, this collaboration includes joint taxpayer supervision and the utilization of various programs and activities to improve the quality of public services in the tax sector.
Bimo Wijayanto, Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, who also attended virtually, emphasized the importance of this collaboration as part of national tax reform. He stated that this activity is designed to strengthen collaborative taxpayer oversight and increase human resource support for taxation, both at the central and regional levels.
In this seventh phase of the signing, 109 local governments participated. Of these, 32 were new regional governments joining the expanded Cooperation Agreement (PKS), while the other 77 were extending existing PKS.
With 109 local governments joining at this stage, a total of 527 of the 546 local governments in Indonesia (or 97 percent) have become part of this initiative, demonstrating the strong commitment of all regions to building an integrated, transparent, and sustainable tax system.
This collaboration is expected to make tax collection more effective and efficient, supported by a digital system that enables real-time data exchange. This effort also aligns with the government's goal of promoting regional fiscal independence, eliminating the need for regions to rely solely on central government transfers.
The Ciamis Regency Government's active participation in this national program is a strong signal that the region is ready to adapt to new challenges in financial governance and public services, particularly in the strategic taxation sector.
