PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Hundreds of Bandung City Environmental Service officers took part in evaluation activities at the Bandung City Hall Plaza, Monday (10/14/2024).

Activities that focus on education related to waste transportation and sorting aim to improve the understanding and skills of officers in optimizing the transportation of waste that has been sorted from its source, in order to reduce the number of trips sent to the Sarimukti TPA.

Acting Mayor of Bandung A. Koswara expressed his appreciation to the street sweepers and garbage collectors from the Bandung City Environmental Agency.

"I really appreciate the hard work of the DLH field team who have contributed to maintaining the cleanliness of Bandung City," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of evaluation to improve performance, considering that field officers are the front line of the Bandung City Government (Pemkot). As well as the importance of consistency in transporting waste that has been sorted from its source.

"Consistency in waste sorting is very important to help reduce the amount of waste trip, so if the waste is not sorted, it will not be transported," he said.

"Let us all commit to sorting waste for a more comfortable Bandung City and a cleaner and healthier environment," he said.
