PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) invites the community to preserve local culture through a wayang golek performance, which was held in the field in Cipenjo Village, Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency, on Friday evening (28/6/2024).

This wayang golek activity was also held as a series of commemorations of the 542nd Bogor Anniversary.

Acting (Pj.) Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu said this activity was intended to preserve cultural heritage or ancestral heritage.

Not only is it watched and ceremonial, said Asmawa, but the content of this performance can also be applied in everyday life and society.

"Let the positive things from cultural heritage be used as requirements in navigating life in society. "On this occasion, we also give our appreciation to the Bogor Regency Culture and Tourism Department, which intends to carry out activities as a roadshow," explained Asmawa Tosepu.

Chairman of the All Indonesian Village Apparatus Association, Cileungsi District, Jamhali, said that by gathering together to celebrate and watch the wayang golek performance, it gives an extraordinary atmosphere to the entire community.

"Thank God, tonight we were given a free show by the Bogor Regency Government, of course we feel grateful and happy to celebrate the 542nd HJB together through a wayang golek performance. "This is history for us by coming together so that we can strengthen the relationship between the community and all the authorities, hopefully this spectacle will be a guide for all of us," he added.
