PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang accompanied by the Cikarang Selatan Muspika and elements of the TNI and Polri visited the Mother Teresa Parish Church, Bekasi Regency, to ensure the smooth running and security of the implementation of the 2025 Easter Vigil Mass, Saturday (19/4/2025).

This visit was carried out as part of the Bekasi Regency Government's (Pemdakab) commitment to maintaining security, comfort, and harmony between religious communities in the region.

The presence of Ade and his entourage was aimed at directly monitoring the course of the service and providing moral support to Christians who were carrying out Easter services.

"This visit is a form of commitment from the Bekasi Regency Government in providing a sense of security, comfort, and peace to all religious communities, especially Christians who are carrying out Easter services," he said.

Ade also emphasized the importance of religious freedom as a constitutionally protected right, so that every citizen has the right to worship without worry. For this reason, collaboration between local governments, security forces, and all elements of society is needed to create a harmonious and conducive atmosphere.

During the activity, officers from the Bekasi Metro Police, Kodim 0509/Bekasi Regency, and other related agencies also monitored the course of worship with a humanistic approach and respect for the spiritual values being carried out.

Security was carried out in a way that did not disturb the solemnity of the Evening Mass, which took place in a calm and solemn atmosphere.

Ade also appreciated all security forces, religious leaders, and the community who had contributed to maintaining order and security, so that the Easter celebration in Bekasi Regency could take place smoothly and peacefully.

"We hope that we will continue to maintain this spirit of tolerance together, not only during religious holidays, but also in everyday life. Harmony is the key to the progress of our region," he said. (Diskominfo Kab.Bekasi/UPI)
