PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - To celebrate the 214th Anniversary of the City of Bandung, the Decorated Vehicle Parade will take place in the center of Bandung City with a route from Gedung Sate to Bandung City Hall on Sunday, (15/9/2024).

The decorated vehicle parade will pass through the following route: Starting at Gedung Sate (Jalan Diponegoro), Dago, Simpang Riau Merdeka, BIP Jalan Merdeka, City Hall (Jalan Wastukancana).

The route starts from Gedung Sate and ends at City Hall with 3 main checkpoints at Gedung Sate, Bandung Indah Plaza (BIP), and the assessment stage at City Hall.

This event will be enlivened by various unique and creative decorated vehicles and displaying various cultural and innovative themes. This parade will not only attract the attention of Bandung residents, but also tourists visiting the city.

A number of famous artists and musicians such as Cakra Khan, Kuburan Band, Platmerah, and Tonewaves will give stunning performances and add to the excitement of the event. In addition to the names above, there is still Ega Robot who will perform in the outdoor area and also accompany the parade.

To facilitate access, the committee provides parking areas in several strategic locations, namely at Bandung Indah Plaza, the area behind BIP, Al-Ukhuwah Mosque, and the West Java Provincial Water Resources Service.

In addition, the public is also encouraged to use public or online transportation to get to the parade location, and is expected to bring a tumbler as an effort to protect the environment.

Head of Cultural Products and Arts Division of the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) Ratna Rahayu Pitriyati said that this activity is open to the public and can be enjoyed from the start point to the end point of the parade.

"The public may follow from the starting point to the City Hall to enjoy the parade, and enjoy musical entertainment in the City Hall area. They are only expected to wear casual clothes, bring tumblers, and be orderly when watching the parade or band entertainment and not litter," he said to the Public Relations of Bandung City, Monday (9/9/2024).

The HJKB 214 Decorated Vehicle Parade also invites students in Bandung City to join as volunteers at the event. There are a number of requirements, including:

1. Active students
2. Active in non-academic activities (organizations and volunteering)
3. Have an interest in the field of communication and events
4. Committed to following the entire series of activities
5. Send CV/Portfolio
