PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is ready to welcome the Persib Bandung victory parade which is scheduled to be held on Sunday (25/5/2025).

Deputy Mayor of Bandung Erwin said, one option is the parade starting from the City Hall and ending at Gedung Sate. The parade will pass through major routes so that the public can witness the euphoria of Maung Bandung's victory firsthand.

"If the destination is Gedung Sate, starting at City Hall is fair. I prefer to depart from City Hall and go through the main routes according to the first alternative," said Erwin at a coordination meeting held at Gedung Sate, Thursday (8/5/2025).

The champion parade is scheduled to start at 09.00 WIB and is expected to end at 13.00 WIB at Gedung Sate. At the final location, a trophy-raising ceremony will be held by the players and coaches at the top of Gedung Sate, followed by a direct greeting to the public from the main stage.

The committee will also prepare big screens at several points so that bobotoh can watch the procession comfortably.

The Bandung City Government is collaborating with various elements to ensure the celebration runs smoothly and safely. Several technical agencies have prepared anticipatory steps.

Diskar PB will put firefighters on standby at the starting and ending points of the convoy, namely the City Hall or West Java Regional Police Headquarters and Gedung Sate.

Meanwhile, the Bandung City Health Service (Dinkes) will prepare mini ICUs at two main points and health posts along the parade route.

The Department of Transportation (Dishub) also stated that it continues to coordinate with the police to ensure smooth traffic flow during the parade.

Meanwhile, West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan explained that the route change was made for technical and security reasons. Previously, the parade was planned to end at GBLA Stadium, but was moved to Gedung Sate.

"The last match and medal ceremony were held at GBLA on May 24. Therefore, it is not possible to hold another big event there on May 25. In addition, access to GBLA is very congested, it is feared that players will not arrive at the location on time," said Erwan.

He said the starting point was still being discussed with two options, namely the West Java Regional Police or City Hall.

However, Erwan said, the certainty of the route that the Persib champion convoy will take will be decided at the coordination meeting held on May 19, 2025.

According to Head of Communications PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) Adhi Pratama, this adjustment was made after considering various factors.

"We finally decided on Gedung Sate. The starting point was chosen as City Hall because it was considered the most ideal, although there was still the option of the West Java Regional Police. However, City Hall was the most possible and representative," said Adhi. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service)
